Sustainability Festival

Join us for a day of inspiration, Crop Swap, Q&A’s, small workshops, exclusive talks, demos, eco outdoor marketplace, food & drink!

Eden Gardens is throwing a one day only festival to help you live more sustainably! Our vision is that we can be a place people can come and be inspired to live better. Expert speakers, fantastic products at our Green Markets, home grown produce and curated content all woven together with plants.  The place where dreams meet action and enablement”, says curator Meredith Kirton. “I hope Eden Gardens can provide a platform for everyone to understand sustainability issues better... and be better gardeners and global citizens.”

The Sustainability Festival integrates community groups with those hungry for knowledge.  Special events such as edible garden tours and Eden Unearthed environmental art curator tours, workshops for families and foodies, and talks can be booked on Eventbrite and you can also bring along your garden glut to our Sydney Crop Swap event.

If you’ve been motivated to change your LIFE habits, but need the knowledge and confidence to act, now is your chance to connect with eco warriors and learn from experts. This event has something for everyone, from kids to corporates, hippies to iGens, Boomers to Gen Z’s; our aim is to make environmental responsibility mainstream. So join the regeneration.

Our program includes:

  • Workshops include how to make your own fermented drinks and kraut, learn about healing herbs, discover how to dehydrate produce and how to make tisanes and tinctures.  For the kids we have mini worm farms, insect hotels and find out where popcorn comes from!
  • A comprehensive program of activities covers topics such as creating a backyard oasis for wildlife, planting natives and how to grow your own produce in small spaces. There will be free walks and talks throughout the weekend.
  • Artisans and bespoke producers coming with everything from organic cleaning products to local honey - you can even watch a spinning demonstration using natural fibres from hemp, bamboo and banana leaves.
  • Drop off your plastic nursery pots and learn about recycling this PP5 plastic.

We will also be collecting donations for our chosen charity Father Chris Riley’s Youth Off The Streets, an organisation that provides young people in need with safety, support and opportunities  to build a positive future.
