If you are not yet familiar with this craft, become inspired as we bring to you a collaboration between Eden Gardens and our instructor Shallie Campbell who has spent over the last couple of years mastering this botanical craft to breathe life into many garments, textiles, and items for you to display in a thousand wonderful ways.

Shallie is a creative artist and musician who says nature and the elements inspire her in all aspects of her creative journeys and is excited to teach you the process of Eco Dyeing.

Botanical dyeing is one of the oldest methods of naturally dyeing fabric and is still used across the globe today. It is the process of using the natural dyes that are extracted from earth’s sources to reveal what is hidden in the leaves, flowers, bark, roots as well as fruits and veggies.

We invite you to join us where you will learn the fundamentals of the design and printing process with Shallie and explore your imagination, ask questions, and take home with you, you’re very own designed tote bag and silk/wool scarf alongside the vital information you will need to recreate your designs and continue to create whatever your plant heart desires.

Lunch for the day is included at our Dragon fly café with complimentary afternoon tea.

All materials will be provided for you; all you will need to bring is yourself and your imagination! The class is very suitable for all levels of experience and will cover all the most important key components.

We do ask if you please wear clothes that you are comfortable in. An apron and gloves will be provided on the day also.
